Daryl Peach of England wins the 2007 Philippine World Pool Championship after edging Filipino Roberto Gomez (17-15) last night at the Araneta Coliseum.
Peach will take home the grand prize of US$100,000 while Gomez will take the runner-up purse of $40,000.
Gomez had his chances, but he succumb to pressure and emotion missing crucial shots. Still, the result is a great achievement for him and for the Filipino people.
Philippines will once again host this event next year.
